We will dance the oscillation (or turn the dial) on a collage of ideas meant to support and ask ourselves what we need on the many pathways towards performing and being seen.
The first part of the class will start slow, low, stretchy, internal, and will gradually spread out in pace and heat. We will bring our selves and our interiority along for the ride as we dial-in!

About the Class
A playful time container to experiment with self sourcing and expansion practices that deepen your creative relationship to the world around you. I use performance art scores to enliven energetic interactions with collaborators and physical frameworks to cultivate a connection to your own solo image life. My proposals take inspiration from decolonizing practices that honour connection to land and deepen respect for each others’ lived wisdom. I hold space for disruption and disorientation and encourage each participant to find their own unique way of being in the collective.

About the ClassWe will make a practice of “What is the *least* I can do?” and “What *is* the least I can do?”
This is a music-centric practice.
The point is to discover the dance that arrives from trying to be strict about following what’s already happening and beginning from a very slowww and easy place. We’ll notice how things are changing without making any effort to initiate or resist change.
There might be some soft following through the mirror or some breezy partner work.

About the Class
OOOOOPENINGSIn this class, we will explore the physical and energetic actions of opening—stretching, widening, softening, and expanding—by connecting deeply with our thinking-feeling-moving bodies. Through improvisation, we’ll engage with concepts of Introductions, Beginnings, Apertures, Gaps, Opportunities, and Chances, allowing new possibilities to emerge from our solo, duo, and group experiments.
Sometimes, using touch and contact, we move through the body’s fascinating portals—eyes, mouth, ears, and others—discovering what opens within and around us in each present practicing moment.
